Imran slams parliament, Sharif brothers in press conference

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that he is not obliged to respect a parliament that supports ‘criminals’, while also accusing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif of money laundering.
Talking to a press conference, Khan stated that the parliament should be thankful since he only used ‘mild’ remarks against the institution during Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) ‘s joint protest rally at Mall Road on Wednesday.
Taking a jibe at PML-N spearheads during his talk to the media, Imran accused the Sharif family of breaking the law to earn financial benefits, also alleging that since 1999, the Jati Umra has seen a massive rise in wealth and assets.
The PTI chief also commended National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for convening Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Hudaibiya Mills case.
“Hudaibiya is an open and shut case, and I would like to tell NAB that the entire country is with them and waiting for swift judgement,” Khan was quoted as saying by the Express Tribune.
Imran also accused Sharif brothers of using accounts of their employees to send billions oversees.
